About Me
Hi, I'm Claire! You've almost certainly never heard of me...
I'm originally from North Wales but now live in the Midlands and I'm a millennial woman which means writing about my life on the internet is practically mandatory. This website is a home for any writing longer than a social media post.
My interests are fairly wide ranging: I'm a feminist, a history graduate, a politics nerd, and an avid reader - all of which inform my writing. I've also been a triathlete for over ten years and have written extensively about various athletic adventures including training for and running the London Marathon in 2017. I'm a passionate advocate for equality of all kinds.
My professional life is in higher education where I work as a research development manager, facilitating interdisciplinary collaborations and supporting major funding applications. I also support a range of work to create a more equitable and inclusive culture for research in the UK.
About Writings of Claire
I write about anything and everything that takes my fancy: from the serious to the frivolous. Expect to hear about feminism, politics, triathlon, pop culture and more.
This site launched in 2026 but includes an archive of past writing from 2010-2025 imported from various other platforms. All content is free but subscribe to get full access to the site and email notification about new posts.
